What Alice Forgot
By: Liane Mortiary
This was my favorite read over the summer! It was both entertaining and thought-provoking. The story starts with Alice on the ground after falling off her spin bike in spin class. When she comes to, she believes she is in her 30's, pregnant with her first child and a happy newlywed. In reality, she is in her 40s, has 3 children and going through a divorce. She spends the rest of the book trying to figure out who she has become over the last 10 years and what happened to her marriage. I loved it!
When Less Becomes More
By: Emily Ley
What a refreshing and needed book this is. I wish I would have read it a year ago when I was working a job that stressed me out and trying to get CBco up and running, while also trying to manage my family and home. Emily Ley's message to slow down and have less and say no is so relevant and necessary - especially in the noisy, busy, and bustling world we live in today. I know this book will be encouraging to you as we are all need of serious "soul rest."
The Life Giving Home
By Sally & Sarah Clarkson
In a world where we are constantly on the go, buried in our phones, and yet still severely disconnected to the world around us, Sally and Sarah Clarkson's book, reminds us the reprieve that the home should be. A place of comfort, retreat, and tradition. This book has inspired me to start our "Fancy Dinner Night," which has become my favorite part of our week. I love how the book is broken into months, so you can read each chapter at the start of the month!
By: Priscilla Shirer
I am a BIG Priscilla Shirer fan and I am an even bigger fan of this study. Every single day seemed to meet me right where I was at. As a mom, wife, and aspiring entrepreneur, I was challenged to walk with bigger faith, trust God to the fullest, and surrender all of my plans to His purpose. Priscilla takes you deeper into the Word of God and this study is so layered and rich. I couldn't recommend this enough!
Where'd You Go Bernadette
By: Maria Semple
Perfect for poolside or beach days. This light-hearted story of finding a missing mother was hilarious and highly-entertaining. I loved learning more about Bernadettes character and I love the way the author told this story. I can't wait to see the movie!
